I was wondering if you would care to help me to identify an oldskool happy hardcore tune I have in my old mixtape archive.

This piece features vocal from Mariah Carey's 'Someday':

You were so blind to let me go
You had it all just did not know...

someday, someday ...

You'll change your mind and call my name
Soon as you find they're all the same...

Someday
Oo someday
One you gave away will be the only one
...

There is a very bouncy, dynamic piano motive in this track (unlike in all those house or trace versions I came across).

It's definitly NOT any of Resonanse Q or flip&fill, nothing like this, only the vocal is similar, the rest is completly different.

I'm not absolutly sure as to the genre but I think I'm right. As to the age of this piece, well I have the tape since about 96 but the tune itself may be a lot older.

To cut the long story short I'm desperate to find out the name (and author) of this tune so please help.

Michal

PS: I might be able to sample a piece of this track to an mp3 if that's necesary

I know the version you mean, but i can't remember who did it at the moment, but i'm certain someone else will be able to tell you what it is before i remember :P Also, there is a more recent version by DNA, called Closer To Your Dreams, but uses less lyrics :)

Problem is there is no 'closer to all your dreams' line in the track I'm trying to identify (there are many other vocals from Mariah Carey's 'Someday' as I mentioned earlier), besides, I've listened to many diffrent remixes of rhythm quest 'closer to all your dreams' - namely: piano mix, hybrid mix, golden delicious... they all sound alike and none of them is anywhere near the track I'm looking for.

Maybe it's NOT rhythm quest remix, after all wouldn't it be wired to do 'closer to all your dreams' remix without 'closer to all your dreams' line but many different lines instead and completly different malody, I mean that wouldn't be a remix anymore but a new tune with next to none relation to rhythm quests' one.

bottom line: I'm still clueless
