Place picture on the internet
put the URL in the edit box highlight it and press the  button.

The URL Silver is talking about is the URL of the image you want to link to.
For example:
Say I want to link to an image. I copy the URL of the image, which in this case is:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/42/Sample-image.svg/703px-Sample-image.svg.png
To make that look like an image, I can use that button Silver is talking about. OR, just make image tags.
[ img ]URL[ /img ] (Get rid of the spaces and you get..)
If it's an image of yours, and you have an image file on your computer, you need to upload it somewhere online. Try Photobucket. Then use the URL from there and follow the same intructions.
If it's just a sketch you drew, take a picture of scan it to get it on your computer first. I don't think I can make that any clearer.
