links. How can I change this? I installed it and it's just taken over. :( I want WMP back.
WMP is my default player for MP3 and WAV...

Load up wmp in the options settings it will say somewhere set as default. Failing that, uninstall then reinstall then it gives u an option to set as default

main reason I hate itunes...whenever my wife installs the latest version I have to go through and change the settings back on the laptop =P

if you just right click on a file Bulby & select 'Open with...' & choose WMP, this will change all your files to open with WMP. U might have to do it seperatley with each file type;-)

I hate quicktime for this reason, as soon as you open itunes quicktime changes all your settings. It's like a virus I swear I hate it with a passion as it messes me around!

Yeah, I've done this. I have WMP set as default fopr MP3 WAV and WMP files... I can't stop this fromhappening it seems. grrrr!

If you're using IE there is an add in section, remove it from there. In Quicktime change the MIME settings, I couldn't get it to remove itself 100% at one point I gave up and switched to firefox

Donno bout Vista, but on XP press start and from there "Set Program Access and defaults" (if its not there, you can also find it from the "add or remove program" window). That sets your default browsers media players etc. For specific files: right-click the file, choose Open With -> Choose Program, from there choose the program and tick the box that says "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" and press OK.

i hate real media player. it doesnt work for me. when i press close it makes the track jump and skip then closes after 4 minutes of sh*t!

I refuse to play anything in real audio, if it's in RA I'm not listening to it, I hate their player that much.
