My friend was telling me that she read off mugglenet.com that they were going to seperate the 6th movie into 2 seperate parts, part 2 being released a few months after part 1. Are they combining 7 with 6, or is movie 6 actually going to have 2 parts so nothing is left out?

Thats what I was thinking, just make it a nice, 3 1/2-4 hour long movie! Heck, you will need to because they spend half the book in hiding!

I don't mind em splitting the film up tbh. Better than having all the good stuff from the books being left out of the films. Although, i agree i would like it to be just one long film and i wouldn't mind at all sitting through 3 or so hours of it (don't think any fan would).

Twice as much profit springs to mind as the reason they may be doing this. ;)
Why have 1 Blockbuster movie when you can have 2 for the same amount of work and get away with it.

hmm. im fairly sure deathly hallows is not number 6, but rather number 7. so talking about number 7 doesnt really answer the question does it?
would make sense. unless they wanna cut out the half-blood prince connection completely and just have the search for the horcrux
