hello,
been awhile since posted on here, but i kinda pretty much been an oldskool head for some months.
I'm not really too much into the commercial sounding stuff with the girly lyrics, I don't know if i've gone off it completely or not. But it's kinda like that for me.
any forums which are just dedicated to the true happy hardcore sound of the 90s etc

Well not that I'd know of, but you can discuss the old skool here, can you not? We've got a couple of people your age here! DJ DMS, Mortis, Stevie C, The Doc,... I've said too much, I'll go hide in my hole now

HERE U GO ADAM! SOMETHING FOR THE OLD SKOOLERS;-) & IF U WANT ANY OF THE TRACKLIST, JUST LET ME KNOW BUD!
Here's the next installment of my 'Old Skool Classics' series & with this one I take a look back at the more uplifting side of English hardcore form 96-98 with sum absolute slammers on there!! With this set I decided to pick up the pace a bit aswell & remind u all of those awesome piano & vocal samples of the "good ol days" These are some of my oldest vinyls so the quality might not be the best but it's all about keeping the old skool alive & kicking! Watch this space as there's plenty more where these came from;-)
Feedback is always appreciated & if anyone would like a tracklist for this set, don't hesitate to ask & i'll get that sorted no probs;-) ENJOY!!!

I love the older core style... the true hardcore, the kind that was bouncy and creative, the kind that was original and flowed from the producer's minds.
There are still some newer tracks that I like, but these days it's just this ****ing commercialized ********. Not that I hate the core but c'mon all you producers, does every track you make have sound like fricking sped up trance?!??

Na gotta go back further than that. I'd say 91-98. I do love the new stuff too but the early days were best for me.

If your talking early 90s hen I like stuff as far back as 1990! I like alot of the Old Skool Breakbeat stuff from 90-94 as well as alot of 'Early Gabber' from about 92-94.
Im a big fan of mid 90s stuff; Happy Hardcore, Bouncy Techno, Happy Gabber, Dutch Hardcore & I tend to find myself likeing none Hardcore from the same era! I lose interest after 98 as very little Bouncy Techno (bar a few tunes) Gabber became 'Nu Style' & Happy became mellow although there is stuff as late as '99 that I like!
Early 2000s are getting Old Skool & alot of that is more exciting than some of todays stuff!
You will find alot of people in their late teens- early 20s who wish where where born ten years earlier lol

Paul, I wouldn't call that slating.
I do agree that hardcore is hardcore but I do also like the idea of an old skool forum. The only trouble is when you make loads of forums for loads of different styles it ends up getting complicated.
If people want I can easily make a forum for old skool stuff only though.
