in washington state they passed a smoking ban a few years ago and it's business as usual except for no smoking inside the building unless you're on an indian reservation. sucks that the local pubs are closing down because of it, i don't understand why the people can't just put a coster over their glass and step outside for five minutes or so.

Not round here really. Still going strong. Live in a little village with 7 pubs and they are all doing ok as far as I know.

That's pretty much my stance too. Cost like £3+ for a pint where I live. If I fancy a drinking sesh I just invite some mates over to mine and we get some tins in or do the same round somone else's. Only pop down the pub when they have an oldskool hardcore night and on the odd random occasion these days.
I'd spend less going out to a rave or going for a fancy meal than at a night/day down the pub...

i think 1 pub by me is closing sooon but it dont really bother me coz i dont go out drinking much anyway. the only time i will have a drink is wen im in the pub with my dad and we are having a game of pool, or if i go out raving. its £2.80 a pint here
