My girlfriend told me about something pretty disgusting the other day actually.
At the new high Wycombe shopping centre some veterans where selling poppies and got marched out by security for selling without a license. How wrong is that? I would have had something to say to those security guards if I had been there. Absolutely disgraceful.

That is a bit out of order! Its not like they are selling for profit, its a good cause.
Just because it happened 90 years ago I think people seem to forget just what happened back then and unfortunately alot of people dont care.
Another annoying thing is that poppys arent sold in as many places as they used to be i dont think.
I do the silences every year cause to take 2 minutes out of my life a year is the least I can do for what they did.

At least here there are some ****s who pretend to sell for charity when the reality is very diffrent. Why were they selling without licence?
EDIT: ...or do you mean a licence from the shopping center?

Sorry should have made that a bit clearer. I mean a license to sell in the shopping centre.
Like Redwingz says, they're not profiting from it and are collecting for a good cause so it should be allowed. They weren't shoving things in peoples faces and trying to force people to donate money like some "charity collectors" do. It's not even an indoor shopping centre, just like a covered high street basically. Belongs to the council too...
If they really insist on moving them on the could at least do it respectfully and let them leave on there own rather than marching them out.
Is like you say Redderz, seems most people don't know what it's about or even care. :(

Ah ok, here when you collect money for charity you need a licence. And you can ask them to show that licence, so thought first you ment that one.
