I was wondering if anyone know how to get rid of excema? I've been suffering with it for about a year now and I just can't get rid of it. I got prescription cream it works but it seem that I always gonna have to apply it because it goes aways after awhile but then it just come back again. I'm on the 3rd bottle of the cream right now and it just seems like its never gonna go away, So I'm just wondering if anyone knows a way to get rid of it.
Thanks

as of current, you can't get rid of eczema; you can only treat the symptoms.

i was so hoping the first word of the thread was 'crabs'. sadly, i was dissapointed

Think it' something your born with but i'm not sure. i've had it for years and a lad i know was born with it and has it really bad all over his body. It never really goes away for me. You can get rid of the symptoms but it'll always come back (for me anyway). I just have a cream that reduces the inflaming and makes it less itchy and it will usually go for a bit then but will always crop up again sadly.

i had exzema when i was younger - it went away eventually
further more - i went because to where i used to live (on an island) for the first time in 7 years, and it came back almost instantly...
turns out the water that is fed to the island goes through a de-salination plant first and every time i showered or cleaned, or washed my hands it got worse and worse.
when i came back to mainland england it went away almost instantly.

it depends how bad it is. you should be able to at least control it to a reasonable level (from what ive been told). if your current doctor cant help you, tell them it is really bothering you and that you would like to see if another doctor could take a look and give their opinion...

its worse for me in the summer as well so its quite good when it gets to winter
