so i get this text asking if i want to go to this performing arts thing with this girl that ive been chatting to for a while, but in truth I dont want to go to it.
Firstly because I suck at these kinda things.. im a frigid loser, really.. and that'll make it awkward
secondly, i dont want to move into any kinda of relationship with anyone at this point..
:S what do I do? i dont want to blow my chances with her but i dont want to go.. lol

you should go!
by going you can show your friendship and perhaps you'll enjoy it and it'll make you feel more confident performing...arts...n stuff...
doesnt seem like too bad a thing :)
if shes a good enough person she'll understand that you dont want to have a relationship at the moment, but she'll appreciate the fact you came along as a friend to enjoy something she enjoys! :)

perhaps your right.
feel like rubbish atm tbh.. its hot, and stuff and I think I just need a shower to clear my head and feel a bit happier lol.
thanks for the reply. i still kinda have a feeling of doubt, but she knows me well enough to know what im like i guess lol.. smaller margin for stupid ****ed up error haha

go for a jog, or a long bike ride...something that'll kick your muscles arse's, come home, shower, eat a salad, drink a pint of water! you'll feel much better :)
its not hot up here in the lakes...bloody freezin' :(

Yeah you should go mate. you only live once! You might have a really good time, just as friends! If you dont want her to get the wrong idea, just dont try and kiss her and dont touch her too much.
You should go though, its better than sitting at home doing nothing. If you like her then you can just be her mate, if she starts getting close and wants to get with you and you arent ready, just tell her that you would prefer to stay friends for a bit while you get to know eachother properly and tell her that you arent after a relationship yet, if she is a nice girl, she will respect that and will happily just be friends until you decide you want more

And as Mr. Triquatra already said, it might be fun, not because of the thing itself, but because of her !
Doing something you don't like with someone you love/like, makes it funnier and you may like it more than when doing it alone.

Only 1 thing you need to consider really mate, and that's whether you'd rather make the effort now and see how it goes, or wait (for everything to be on your terms) and risk blowing it altogether.
