yeah its absolutly horrible, i read about it this morning, made me feel sick.
can only imagine what the family are going through - drowning is a nasty nasty nasty way to go, nothing peaceful about it in the slightest.

I wouldn't be too sure he drowned Triq, he went through a pool vent. I reckon he'd've been chopped to bits before drowning. Although it sounds nastier, I'd bet he died pretty quick. So yeah, hopefully it was quick and painless.

Exactly the same thing happened to a 9 year old girl in Japan a few years ago, really bad.

Wow that's really horrible.. So young..
But how could this happen ? How the heck can he be 'swept into the pool's pump system', the hole isn't big enough. Well, usually.

my mate told me about this and he said that he took the vent cover of 2 get his goggles then it sucked him in,and he also said his parents told the life guards and they wouldn,t believe them what had happened,and that they found his body in the engine room and his dad was there,if its true that would be awful finding your son like that

Astronauts lift thing that weigh around a ton in underwater simulations, so what makes the staff think that a kid can't lift a grate / grille that weights about 100 pounds?

I don't see how it's any worse than the other thousands of deaths that happen every day that no one feels the need to point out. That's not to say it's not bad, it definately is.

this kind of thing happens atleast once a year in the united states...that's why the government is making them change the grates on the pump system, but then there isn't an agency to go around and make sure people are doing it.
children have gotten disembowled when they get stuck too

true... yet when ya hear it ... it often sounds worse then then u just hear.. well anuver 14 y/o died.. if i heared someone say.. yea some 14 y/o died today.. well fuk me but i dun care.. if someone tells ya some kiddo got shred appart by a pool cleaning system.. sounds lil diff aye?
