Damn good show this year. It was my third year going. I guess I'll explain my time there.

Part 1: Intro/Bands
My dad was driving me (i'm 16, and he goes too cause he enjoys all the punk bands there as well, sometimes more than me), and we we're literally 1.5miles away from the parking lot where it was being held. We are in DEAD STOP traffic. So I took my ticket, got out of the car, and started walking. I got there before my dad. As I was walking, I heard music of a band playing, and then it hit me about 10 seconds in. The band playing was the band I was looking forward to the most, The Devil Wears Prada (thanks warped tour for putting 12pm starting time when it started at 11). So I was pretty pissed about that, but the other bands I saw were just as awesome, here's a list in the order I saw them.
Underoath (8/10)
Less Than Jake (9/10)
3oh!3 (7/10)
Attack! Attack! (not the UK band) (7/10)
Senses Fail (8/10)
Anti-Flag (9/10)
Chiodos (8/10)
A Day To Remember (8/10)
Gallows (100000000/10)

Part 2: The Less Than Jake Incident
Anyone who listens to Ska music and has been to at least one Ska show will know about the dance everyone does, called Skanking. It's basically a fast paced but non-violent dance where people kick there legs and run in a circle to the rhythm of the music. So we're all skanking, having a good time, and the typical huge tough guy (these people always ruin the shows) comes in and starts pushing people violently and takes over turning it into a mosh pit, windmilling his arms all over the place with his douche friend and ugly girlfriend who I think he was trying to hard to impress. We keep trying to skank, and those two keep trying to get us to stop. So as they're dancing, we're all just staring at the two. As guys, we can't touch them cause they'll fight back, which we don't want when watching our favorite band. So this girl, without question, just comes up and starts bitching at the bigger guy. His friend keeps pushing him into her, and after the third time, she pushes the big guy away and punches his friend right in the face. His friend was ejected, and we all skanked for a good half hour. I love tough chicks.

Part 3: Crowdsurfers Suck
Honestly I think anyone who crowd surfs is obnoxious and is just ruining their experience as well since they just get sent out of the crowd and have to walk around to the back. I won't hit them or anything like some people, but it gets ridiculous after a while. I'm watching Chiodos, and the singer tells everyone to crowd surf, and I'm in the...landing zone(?) for crowd surfings of course. I'm trying to enjoy the band and every second someones shoe is hitting my head. Then the singer comes on top of the crowd, and some crowdsurfer ruins it because he fell on us while we were holding him, so we all fell to the ground. I felt bad for anyone who was on the bottom of that pile. Still, intense show and I loved it in the end.

Part 4: Gallows.........
My dad has been following this band (not literally) for the five years they've been together. Two years ago I missed them at Warped. This year, he convinces me to come up front even though I was just ready to sleep on the concrete. So I get up there, and I'm at the very front in seconds (this band has just a cult following). They play their first song, it's awesome, but no one is moshing or jumping, so I'm pretty bored. Then the singer walks into the crowd.....and oh my god was it the greatest experience of my life. We're all jumping on top of him, screaming into his mic (such a classic punk thing that no one does anymore). We're all moshing around him, our fists are literally a foot away from his face and he doesn't care. He actually got upset when we didn't move for a second and the pit got a little smaller. Frank Carter is definitely my idol now.

I could probably write a book about my day at Warped since I live for music festivals and this one was by far the best, but I'll leave you with that since most of you probably won't read any of it. Thanks if you did.

So here's my question to you guys. What is your favorite festival experience?
