http://soundcloud.com/lorenzo-tweakn/lorenzo-tweakn-inspiration-6 get a going on tearing me a new one because the kick isn't hard, the bass is "electro" & sidechained, and the riffs are too trancey. :)

Everything sounded reasonably in place other than that piano.
You have it in your mind that you need a certain chord progression format in your tracks.
Its hard to explain & I don't have the terminology to teach this to other people.

That goes over my head.
I'm trying to find a way to explain this.
You seem to have the idea that every track needs a 4 bar bassline with the note changing every four beats - right? Going through your Soundcloud its the same with 8 bar basslines with notes changing every eight beats.
With this in mind, your track seems to based around this 4 bar or 8 bar system. It doesn't have to. Your tracks don't need to be strictly based around what your bassline does or the chord sequence you're using. To me it doesn't sound right.
Its hard for me to explain. I've never studied music, and I've never had to explain it. When I produce, the musical side just comes naturally. Look at some other music. Download some midi's - say - Trance or something and look at how the notes interact.
And if I were you lay of the minors. Just focus on white notes. A lot of your stuff sounds out of tune for me.
Of course all of this will fall on deaf ears as usual

you're only used to things sounding one way, so to you; anything that doesn't sound a certain way is out of key, when in reality it's just in a different scale. no one else tells me that my stuff is out of key.
i also understand that the bassline can do whatever. :P. i just don't do it

I'm used to music being in key, yes. So when I hear somthing that strays out of key and doesnt harmonize, I notice it.
Was there much point in starting a thread where you don't take on advice?

I think that melody flows a bit nicer compared to the older one.

the second is much better, the first was ok a little too minimal for my taste.
the piano in the first had to go, it didnt 'fit'
couldnt you use the guitar notation with the piano on the second breakdown?
