Go on then, I'll go first.

As you know, I love the original, and as you know, I love Gammer. But this remix doesn't do it for me, sadly. :-( Those opening drifty vocals are possibly the most gorgeous thing I've ever heard, but I just don't see how layering that coarse melody over the top of it is meant to work. The stuff in the background is magnificent, though.

Bit of a weird one. Doesn't really sound like the original at any one point. Not that that's always a requirement, but you know what I mean. I guess with such a massive and unique track the only option was to do something completely different.

Still proper looking forward to the album, and I don't buy into all this "Ahhh you've ruined a great track" bollocks way of thinking - so, no harm done. :-)

This is the only tune in this style that I've ever heard and liked (because the original is good). I think it retains the important feel of the original. It is completely different but the thing that makes the original good remains.

Really doesn't do it for me. The breakdown had a lot of promise, but that synth brought in just sounded terrible and it didnt really develop any further from that. Shame as this was a highly anticipated track. I thought Gammer would try another Freeformy style and really put the time in.

Don't get me wrong, the album sounds great with all the fantastic Freeform on it, and the original of Unforgettable is very nice, but this sounds neither suitable for the album, nor anything like the original.

As Jay said, I dont want to make this seem like a 'ruined it' sort of thread. The album is still a top quality product. On a lighter note, Im liking that "like a bulldozer" tune. Wish I had the whole track. What album was it on?

Is this the last clip before release?

Like A Bulldozer is a sick track. It was on Freeformania. Monster of an album that's still got a lot left to give.

I have to agree with what's been said, it's a decent track but nothing special. Expected a bit more from him.

As always the production from Gammer is clean as you like but it's a little bland, although mabey he was looking to strip things back to simpler times.

On a brighter note, i'm poised with my money waiting to pounce...

Well, I hate it as well! The producers of this track probably only tried to make some fun about the regular grumblers, but didn't notice that their productions actually really are shit and the've started to created their own bubble world or castle in the sky in which they all wank to each other's sounds, erase every sign of criticism on social networks or start to bawl telling the hole wide world how jeleaous those people only are and have absolutely no clue about music.
Thankfully there enough other producers, who are different and a few newbees that make the old farts look really really amateurish.

EDIT: I'm sorry for ruining you thread, Thumpa! I don't like the Gammer mix of your posted as well.

That's cool, people won't like everything. For the record its the same chords as the original!

When he did it I told him I wanted it simple, brash and sunny sounding, I love this remix and it always goes off when I play it, but I can see why others wouldn't like it.

Album is out next week!

The chord progression and breakdown are nice but other than that I just don't like it. It's sad to hear Gammer coming out with tracks like this when you consider how many amazing euphoric tracks he's made in the past. It also saddens me that hardcore is continuing to go down this route when so many people seem to be oppose to it. The music is a shadow of it's former self.

I've not really liked the majority of new stuff since about 2005, but the fact that Gammer and whoever choose to make this style doesn't effect what other people produce. So i don't think it really matters. They are only a small percentage of the scene.

Of course it does, and I think you're really naive to even think it doesn't. People produce what they think is popular and if they hear the top guys, like Gammer, making something they will copy it. How many 8-bit tracks came out after Wii Go Crazy?

It does though, they are the biggest and most successful names in Hardcore, and have the influence to decide what direction Hardcore takes. Others will follow and inevitably produce a similar style
