When did things become more about this over processed, flat snare than the kick? I'm not sure I'll fully understand this new style at all. For me it has no energy, no soul and no style about it.

Not his best work imo. Bit too cheesy, especially the version with the 'sure feels good' vocal over it.

The kick sounds like a snare 
I really don't think the drop style fits the content of the song, either. Those drops don't seem to be meant for happy songs, even skipping ahead right to the drop it took my brain a good 10 seconds to realise it was a major song.
I appreciate that Gammer is trying to do his own thing, I respect that, but I'm really not liking the recent kick snare stuff, like his Insane Asylum Remix, Unforgettable Remix, and this one.
The other new stuff like Paranoia, Bye Bye, I love it, I'm digging it.
Maybe it's just the high end white noise sort of kick that's turning me off.
