Why didn't the album have original artwork rather than stolen artwork? It's a shame because it makes the whole project seem less legitimate to me. If you do this kind of project, you may as well do it right :It's also why I decided not to contribute my music toward this.
The music sounds good from the preview, though, which is a plus.

This is a free album so it shouldn't be a problem. Jim added titles and effects anyway. And he's unable to draw on PC due to certain technical issues, so this was our only choice.
EDIT: And there are background picture credits in the bottom-left.

Nevertheless, unique album-specific artwork can count for a lot. I've worked hard to keep my music fresh with art and it worked remarkably well for me while I did it.
It wasn't your only choice, either. Have you even inquired to artists about getting artwork done for this?
I know that from the off - even when the album was going to be a full paid-for album you weren't looking for art. I certainly never received any emails anyway.
But the music is very good. Lots of new producers in there, and the sounds have lots of fresh ideas. It's good that so many talented producers have put their effort into this project. Dys7 has provided another great track, Nakura too. The Core-station and Skyler songs are also very good - as I knew they would be from hearing material on YT. I'm just a little gutted for them that their music hasn't been represented better - and gutted for you that you haven't conducted this project as well as you could have done. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but I was quite excited for this. It was a project with lots of promise.
edit: background credits mean nothing. It just means you've confirmed to us that the picture is taken - unless you have written permission from Mutou Kurihito or Ensemble?

I know it would be much better to have had original album art, it's just that it was off my priority list this time. The reason I didn't look for someone who would do original artwork while the album was for cash was because I assumed we would have to pay, and since the payment would be the responsibility of Full Trance Panic owner, I was waiting for permission to have a search. But he was suddenly called to duty in Afghanistan and he wasn't able to tell me until few weeks passed. I would never publish an album for cash with non-original background, and I never meant to. Mere reason why I allowed that to happen is because of the change that made tha album free.
Further albums organized by me will doubtlessly have fully original artworks if possible.

I understand. It's still a shame, though. You should have a look at the recent Touitsu album. It was a free project which had it's own artwork and that was paid for out of a 14-year-olds pocket. It doesnt have to be expensive either, you just have to look around. Not only did it have art, but the organizer put in the effort and messaged individual artists asking for tracks or contributions. The project in the end had 13 tracks by nearly as many artists. In the end the release was very good, and I was pleased to have my music represented by him and the label.
This is a fun project you're running and it has potential. People like happy uplifting music, but to make it a success, you need to put the work in =)

As I said, next time I will. For now, if you mind the artwork, just pretend it doesn't exist, and just listen to the tracks if u like them; though you're right, it would be much better if I put some effort searching for someone to draw us one.
