alrite ravers,
i need some help becoming a DJ, ive always wanted to learn but i never had the cash to start up.
anyway i had a car crash so claimed some comp .
so im gonna take this chance to get started up, ive already bought the vinyls i want. i bought 6 so far and gonna get some more when ive learnt how 2 mix properly.
all i need now is some deck packages, which is wat i need help with. can any1 recomend some beginner packages. im gonna spend around £300 on them, is this enough to get a decent package ?, i dont want no flimsy shit.
any help would be greatfull, cheers.

For 300 quid u can get a dj in a box set if ur after vinyl decks, 300 quid wont go far on decent vinyl decks. If u want cd decks then 300 wil get u sum off ebay but not top of the range. Why dont u practice transitions and that on pc decks 1st?

I have Technics 1210s Mk.2's & consider them to be the best. Have a look on ebay mate. I've seen them on there before with a mixer for around the £300 mark. If not just try to stick with direct drive turntables as belt drives are just a waste of time & money.

Loving mine. Only had 'em a few weeks and they're brilliant but, @bristolboy05 i doubt you'd get 'em anywhere for cheaper than around 500 second hand and then no mixer.
Numark are ok. You do pretty much get what you pay for though remember. You probably are best off getting yourself a pair of second hand technics and mixer off ebay or whatever.

Stantons are 2nd best 2 1210s. Numarks are ok, its all about how u look after them!
Go with that package if its within ur budget and u cant afford any extra

2nd best?.........maybe Vestax, but they are more expensive than 1210s lol. Ive got Stanton T150s and I really like them. People told me Stanton were shit but i love my decks, they have powerful motors and my mixing has improved so much on them.
For a beginner, any direct drive turntables would be ok really.
I wouldnt recommend Numark though, my Numark mixer broke in 5 months
Try and stay away from citronic too.
maybe look at the top end stantons like mine and maybe Gemini is another similar price make but i dont know too much about them
Out of interest, what vinyl did u buy?
My 1st vinyl was Scott Brown and Cat Knight - All about you :)
