Yea, because when banks write off billions of dollars in loans, they profit.

i guess but if the average home owner defaults on a loan the bank still owns the title to the property and they can then sell it. i could be wrong but either way the banks generally arent our friends

The current financial crisis is way, way more complex than you make it out to be and to say that it's the product of banks giving loans simplifies it to a point that's simply misleading.

You do realise in the US the Federal Bank that controls the input of the economy into your country is in fact a PRIVATE bank right? That loans money to your government at INTEREST?!

That means every time a dollar is created, your government is already in debt to this private bank!

No it doesn't. The system currently in practice creates untold wealth and power to manipulate to the top for an elite few people. It does not have the interests of the poeple at heart. It was made out to benefit the few at the expense and manipulation of the rest.

^^^ Lol pwned!

Anyway.....

No, the system isn't corrupt, but yes some of the people within the organisations that run the system are should we say errrrm are out for themselves.

The economic system in all of the major countries/continents is there to encourage growth. As Meph said, the alternative I guess would be for banks to offer zero interest loans.

Yes it is harsh that some countries suffer and there is alot of work done to prevent this. As an example, 10 years ago several countries cancelled third world debt owed to them. Of course, not much of this was passed on to the people that matter as we are seeing in countries such as Zimbabwe, but that is not down to UK banks or the UK government.

Its all very well moaning about the economic system, but how about providing a suggestion for a better system?

Seriously are you retarded?

Job, education or not you seem it?

The first point I rose in my original post where about the injustices and inequalities rampant through the globe (especially those in developing countries) and ones we allow our countries to manipulate, bully, coerce and extort from. We continue to allow our country and manipulate us and perform indiscriminately shocking acts and we are complicit in it by standing by and simply allowing this. Have we been manipulated that much that we are so detached from one another that we no longer want the best for every single one of us on the planet, but just ourselves? Is it really "Us Vs. Them"? In your case it seems so! Congratulations!

It goes it show just how selfish and incompassionate towards others you are. You relate my words of complaints about injustice, debt, manipulation and so on to that of the singular, as that is your outlook on life. It however is not mine.

but please, keep judging your lifes worth on the size of your bank balance.

How about removing lobbyist for corporations from government? How about not having a privatised central bank in charge of the economies of countries and the globe? How about not electing business men with vested interests into government? How about not allowing corporations to back political sponsorships to further agenda's that will benefit them?

Just a few to start with there.

The American Revolution was caused primarily by King George's force of them to abolish the Dollar in favour of borrowing money from us at interest immediately putting the entire American country into debt.

"The refusal of King George the third to allow the colonies to operate an honest money system, which freed the ordinary man from the clutches of the money manipulators was probably the prime cause of the revolution" - Benjamin Franklin.

The system we have in place today caused a country to revolt, yet today we have been so manipulated that we believe it is the saviour and the only way in which we can continue. So manipulated that we believe it creates prosperity and infrastructure for the people. The system in place has never benefited the people and it never will.

"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take it away from them, and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." - Sir Josiah Stamp (A banker and at the time considered to be the second richest man in the country.)

Bank of Finland is owned by Finlands government. Europes central bank is owned by the national central banks of the euro zone countries (or was it EU countries?).

LOL... did you just call him a nigger? do you even realise how offensive that is, regardless of the fact if hes black or white? Just because you quoted somebody else, doesn't make it less offensive.

Anyway, all your answers to my questions illustrated my point nicely. You don't really have a hard life at all. The only person you have to take care of is you. Hey, seriously, try sending 2 kids to school, feeding them, clothing them, supporting a wife, buying HER a car, taking holidays, and all the extra shit (including buying a new house because the one you've alreayd bought wont be big enough for several kids too) and you'll find that you dont get by so easily. And keep in mind, you earn WAY above the average wage... You also have relatively no responsibilities - but i bet you think you do.

Now take the AVERAGE FAMILY MAN - doing everything in the above paragraph and earnign the AVERAGE wage. Ontop of that, with interest rates going up and up, the average joe is getting royally ****ed.

You have an extremely closed-minded view. You dont fall into the average, nor do you handle anywhere near the same amount of responsibilities - yet you say things like:

"get a better job, further eductaion do something to improve your life or shut the **** up!"

Okay so when people are in debt, because they have an AVERAGE job, where are they supposed to get the money to further education, or take time off to go to job interviews? I suppose your answer is to just take out a loan LOL. You don't get it.

I can keep going, you've given me so much material as to how ignorant and (it seems) shallow you are. You may be 27, but you act like you're 17. Seriously your top 3 things in your life is ****ing? and thats more important to you than friends? LOL

can't be bothered to read all of this but i had a quick skim through.
if you don't like the system go take out a massive loan, sell all your stuff and move to africa and use the money to build wells and other crap for people.
if your not willing to do something like this and take from the banks and redistribute to those who are in need then shut the **** up and go neck yourselves you hipocritical pricks. your using computers on the internet in air conditoned houses with electricity and running water. don't like the current system? then piss off and let someone else take your spot.

It's astonishing how many have misinterpreted the humanity of SixFeet's original point....

and SixFeet, my friend, it also clearly and very sadly illustrates why what you're suggesting will probably never be.

....'tis a shame.

I see bar one or two of you I'm lost in a sea of retards.

When I mention my first point about the injustices to 50% of the worlds population, for those retards I mentioned that is roughly 3,150,000,000 people, what I apparently said was "WAHHHH I HAVE A SHITTY EXISTANCE AND AM JEALOUS OF PEOPLE WITH MORE MONEY THAN ME, WAHHHH GIVE ME CHARITY! I HAVE IT BAD, POUR YOUR EMPATHY UPON ME!"

You retards are the reason we continue in this system. Congratulations.

CMC you're beyond comprehension, I won't point out the shit. Suitable role-model you chose by the way. Someone that does none of the work and reaps all the benefits of his ghost writers and then when the news gets out uses threats to try and get them to shut up. Your favourite rapper is a mysoginistic and violent fraud out for himself, just what society needs!

Oh and Whispering, Finnish central bank might be, but you're part of the EU. If you believe the US has very little influence on the EU economy then you're quite naive my friend. BTW just a little info, several corporations make more money per year than your entire country.
