Who here believes in love? Not love between friends or family, but love love? The kind that makes you want to spend the rest of your life with the same one person.
Personally speaking, ive never had an easy relationship, and still being young at 21 (or old, depending on how old you are) im not so sure.
Being in a rather complicated situation at the moment (not that im referring it to love or anything, just a starting point) its just made me wonder, that even if it DOES exist in principal, does it exist for everyone? How many people do you think actually die without being in love?
And with women (no offence) and relationships being as complicated as they are, and people being so fragile in love, and given that anyone betrays for their own price - is it really worth it in the long run?

I do belive in love and i do belive in soul mates......
But i have had bad experiences with love in general, iv only been in love twice (which isnt much for a 23 year old i dont think) i wont go into details but both times people have got hurt and one of those times (i personally think) was with my soul mate....I still think we'll end up together its just a matter of time. "Me & you" was actually written about her, started it when i was trying to get her back finished it when i got her back...Unfortunatly things didnt work out again but hey ho lol.
I dont think there is people that go through their lives without falling in love though even if someone has no one to love them back you can still hold those feelings for someone, although that might be classed as obsession in some cases lol.
And unless you truly feel in your heart of hearts that someone is "the one" love really isnt worth it, because as the song goes "There's a thin line between love and hate".....

I think it depends on the circumstance, and how committed you are to the person. You can be in love with each other, but it might just be the wrong time for committing to a long term relationship.
Although, if you really really are in love, everything will just be a minor obstacle to your ultimate goal of being with that person for the rest of your life.
I've been in several serious relationships, and the one I'm in currently is certainly the most promising, and it's a long distance one. That's saying something. :)

You both bring up good points.
@ fingaz
that person you believe you'll end up with one day - is it worth going through heartache over and over again to get them? Factor into consideration also that 50% of marriages end in divorce, so really, is it worth heartache after heartache for HER in particular, when you have a 50% chance of having it work out for life?
@ leto
Circumstance and committment, sure. BUt surely if you thought it was love, you'd overcome all barriers to be with that person? If it was true love, i don't think committment would be a problem anyway - which brings me to my point. What if you fall in love with someone to find that it cannot be - even though you truly love each other. Surely that would be one of the worst feelings in the world? And at the end of it, you're still alone.

one person is always more serious than the other, and since we're all human, lying and cheating always comes into play.
i believe those emotions exist in people, but in real life the full commitment rarely exists.
and to be honest, i just don't think that chasing a girl right now is worth the time and money.
i'll wait for some girl to come to me. i've noticed that with some friends, if they put the amount of time they spent chasing tail into something else, they'd be professional at something.
i just don't think it's worth it at this age, that's all.

I used to be one of those people who used to think that if I didn't find someone I couldn't enjoy life! But I look at other people who have loved & broken up & realise im not missing too much!

i'm only 16, so love isn't something i've experienced yet. (hell, i haven't even had my first kiss...) nevertheless, im a hardcore(teehee, no pun intended) believer in love... im not sure how or why i do, but i just know i do....and the love for music is pretty intense, too! :) can't imagine how my life would be if i would have kept listening to rap, and wouldn't have turned to Dance Factory FM by chance....*shudders at the thought* ..oh,no offense to any of you who may like it, hehe.

It's definitely real in my opinion, and it can be pretty scary how emotionally attached a person can become with another. I don't really believe in soul mates, because it mathematically and logically just doesn't seem plausible to me.
I'm not generally one to get clingy to another person, and I've always been pretty apt to discard peoples' moanings about love problems, but I've recently really come to the opinion that it's not something you can control. And when you really do feel like you love someone, it can make you pretty irrational.

it is one of the worst feelings in the world, but you cant go living life trying to avoid being hurt, its going to happen in one way or another. ive had my heart broken and then trampled on lol.... and it hurt.... but it also taught me alot aswell....
anyway how does the saying go, it is better to have loved and lost, then to never have loved at all :)
