Just generally give you a hard time? If thats what it is then be careful hes not just ribbing you because i get that at work all the time for being a raver or as they see it a drug addict.

Or is it something specific?

Its more his attitude & I get put down. Remarks such as 'tou'll be on the dole que next week' & 'stay at the front I can do this quiker than you' are many such comments! I got in troube for being 2 mins late while someone else who was later didn't even get in troube at all!

He also has a word with me over stuff every day... I could go on but it does my head in sometimes lol

Its called seniority, the boss can basically do what he/she wants. I work fast food, and ya, its not the best. When the manager hands food out wrong, Its my fault, when she puts the sandwich in the wrong bad, its my fault. You deal with it! I don't think your case will benefit you, and by turning over your boss, you could wind up turning over your job. I think you should bring these issues up with your boss before you go turning him over. Whenever I do, instead of my boss telling me "I'm sorry", she goes and buys me donuts!!!

What happened with this? i'd be interested to know...

Bosses are usually *******s. IMO, unless hes actually being detrimental to your happiness, then i'd just put my head down and get on wtih it.

Although, if he is making it a bad place to work, you have every right to go to human resources or something about it.

He wont get fired or anything but MAYBE he'll get a talking to...

you know, probably best to confront him about it first... it might be hard to confront him, but when he finds out you went behind his back he could become a real ****.

If you dont talk to him first, when he is contacted, he is going to say he wasnt aware of a problem because he wasnt told. It will be up to the powers that be to decide what happens from there, chances are they will come back to you and say that you didnt try and fix the situation yourself, so there is nothing they can do in the meantime. After that it is going to become much harder to confront you boss.

I know where i work official procedure is to confront the person first and then go upwards if nothing changes. If we go upwards first they come back to us saying we havn't tried to rectify the problem ourselves.

just be careful, it could backfire

if at the end of the day you won't take shit from someone is the call of the day from you, then why don't you do something about it that involves you and the boss rather than you and the papers, lawyers, magistrate, president, hhc.com.

you can't trumpet an attitude of yourself as being a stand up guy if you sit and let this guy punk you.

at the end of the day, you've just been punked all day long.

are you already a member of the union? and is your boss a member of the union? unless your shop is organized union then they won't be able to touch the guy. however, if you were already a union member he would be in hot water if he were taking shots at the fact you were in the union. but if you aren't a member of the union and he isn't a member of the union, there isn't a thing the union could do for you. i'm a member of a labor union and i looked it up in the bylaws.

my male boss is sexsist, and when i say sexist, i mean sexist of HIS OWN sex!! (i cannot beleive it) I'm not joking

how come, the girls are allowed to go outside for a smoke for 10 HOURS, but if a male goes out for a smoke for say 30 seconds, it's "skiving" and are ordered to get back inside and work.

same goes with the lateness thing, the girls can come in 5-10 mins late, and then eat toast and chat for an extra 2 hours, everyone else? you come in zap on 00 and pickup a heavy load.
