In case you havent noticed theres few wars going on and the worst financial crisis in decades. The next president will have a big impact on those, that will eventually involve every country one way or the other.
Democrats are generally considered to be more diplomatic and better in economics, and share a similar "mindset" to Europeans then republicans.
