i think mc's sound alright with dnb but they sound pretty shit with hardcore, a perfectly good song will be playing and then some moron will babble over the top. except for fingaz, he's cool

I agree that the original, and technically correct, definition of MC is Master of Ceremonies but in this context I believe that mic controller is also acceptable. It's presumably a later variant derived from the initials but now acceptable due to common useage.
As for wether you like, or dislike, them. That's a whole different question :-)
