Sorry to bump this thread again but I have to clear this up. I'm coming across like f**king Hitler here
I'm all for other Religions/Races! Fookin hell! I'm not saying we should all be part of one religion. Far from it. I'm just saying that IMO Religion gives people good values in growing up (some more than others obviously) & i'm glad my dad forced me to church every week. that's all.
To compare me to nazi's just because I like religious values is just f**kin insulting!

I'm not sure how things work in England, but there's no such thing as a "Christian" school in Scotland. There are Catholic schools, but most are non-denominational schools. The Catholic schools have a weekly mass (I think) and there is interference from the Catholic church.
The other schools don't have religious interference as such. We used to have a carol service at Christmas, and Easter, but that was it.
Religious schooling is nonsense IMO, but that's a different argument.

I dont cmpare u to a nzi or anything, I have nothing against u in any way, so Im sorry for insulting. As u say religion is there to control people putting them in fixed belief systems, I think its better to care about people becouse u want to and feel love, not becouse some god says it, and if u dont follow it u go to hell. It doesent work, building happieness on fearbased views

But we also get peace from fear, so lol.
If you don't do what I say, and not try to fight us, I won't blow you up with a Nuke..

Atheism = religion
Possibly the most retarded statement anyone has ever made on this site.

I dont think atheism is good either, like denying that theres even of chance that theres something more "out there" or here, then what u usally sense.
Like ur only here in the moment, and u just assume that the info get is what it is, how can we really know anything at all. all we really know is experience of the moment.
That's not what atheism is. By definition it's a LACK of a belief system, not one in itself, and while some atheists do believe there is no god etc, that isn't what defines atheism.

Religion is about faith and belief, atheists believe there is no god.

1. the doctrine or belief that there is no God.
2. disbelief in the existence of a supreme being or beings.
